Last night we were hit with a cold, blustery winter storm. Winter storms don't bother me. I actually look forward to having to stay at home without the distractions of what errands to run, what groceries to get, who to go visit, etc. for a change. I often get little forgotten jobs done that have been sitting and waiting for me to remember them and more times than not, I try a new recipe! Today I felt like it was perfect weather for soup and bread. I haven't made bread in forever! I called my daughter and she gave me the recipe for "Artisan Bread." It sounded too easy, it sounded scrumptious! I had to look it up on Pinterest of course! I found this post and it's basically what I did as well... http://www.mybizzykitchen.com/2009/01/25/simple-crusty-bread/ It'll go great with the creamy wild rice and mushroom soup that's simmering on the stove...
